What's collected
Nothing.
No personal data, no usage stats, no crash reports, no identifier, no prompt content. There is no server to send it to, and no third-party code in the extension. Verify it yourself — it's plain JavaScript with no build step.
What's stored, and where
| What | Where | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|
| Settings, custom tools, selector overrides | Chrome sync storage | Only through your own Chrome sync. Never contains prompts |
| Recent prompts | Local extension storage | No — never synced, never uploaded |
| Open grid payload, in-flight send | Session storage | No — gone when the browser closes |
| Follow-up bar position, per site | Local extension storage | No |
| Granted sites | Chrome's permission store | No |
Site access
Puchne declares no required website permissions.
That's why installing doesn't warn about “all your data on all websites” — until you hand it a site, it has none.
Permissions, one by one
| Permission | For |
|---|---|
storage | Your settings, and optionally your recent prompts |
tabs, activeTab | Opening a tab per tool and keeping track of which is which |
scripting | The actual job — finding the chat box and typing, on granted sites only |
tabGroups | Filing tabs into one group, if you turn that on |
webNavigation | Knowing when a page has finished loading |
sidePanel | Docking to the browser sidebar, if you turn that on |
contextMenus | The right-click Ask Puchne entry |
declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess | Grid view only: removes the two headers that forbid framing, for the listed AI sites, on framed requests, where you've granted access. Nothing is inspected or recorded |
The AI sites themselves
Puchne changes how your text arrives — not what happens to it after.
Each service has its own policy and terms, which you agreed to with them. What they log, keep or train on is between you and them, exactly as if you'd typed it by hand.
Deleting it
| Delete | Where |
|---|---|
| Prompt history | Settings → Maintenance → Clear History |
| All settings | Settings → Maintenance → Reset All |
| One site's access | That tool's row in Settings → AI Tools |
| Everything | Remove the extension in chrome://extensions/ |
Anything already sent to an AI service follows that service's deletion process, not this one.
This website
Static HTML, one stylesheet, one script. No cookies, no analytics, no third-party fonts or scripts. It remembers one thing — your light/dark choice, in your own browser. The host may keep ordinary access logs, as any host does.
Changes & contact
If the extension changes what it stores or reaches, this page changes with it — in public, in the repository's history.
